May 2010 Primary Results: Ohio House and Ohio Senate
Results in key contested Ohio House and Senate primaries include: 
- An upset in the 10th Ohio House District in Cleveland where Rep. Robin Belcher (D-Cleveland), who was recently appointed to the seat, finished a distant third in a race captured by former Cleveland City Councilman Bill Patmon. Also in Cleveland, former Cleveland television news anchor Tim White was defeated by 124 votes by Kelli Perk for the Democratic nomination in the 17th Ohio House District.
- In the 16th House District (Cleveland west suburbs), former Rep. Jennifer Brady had a 136-vote lead this morning over fellow Democrat Peggy Cleary and a third candidate in her attempt to capture the Democratic nomination for the right to face Rep. Nan Baker (R-Westlake) in the November election. Rep. Baker defeated former Rep. Brady in the 2008 election.
- In the 98th House District (predominately Geauga County), Senator Tim Grendell (R-Chesterland), who is term limited in his Senate seat, secured the GOP nomination for the House seat.
- In the 7th Senate District (Warren County), Senator Shannon Jones (R-Springboro) defeated former Rep. Michelle Schneider in the Republican primary. Senator Jones was appointed to the seat upon the death last year of Senator Robert Schuler.
- In the 11th Senate District (Toledo), Rep. Edna Brown (D-Toledo) defeated Toledo City Council President Joe McNamara.
- In the 15th Senate District, Columbus City Councilwoman Charleta Tavares defeated Rep. Dan Stewart (D-Columbus) and Oyango Snell.
- In the 19th Senate District (Mansfield area), Rep. Kris Jordan (R-Delaware) defeated former Rep. Thom Collier and a third candidate for the Republican nomination for the seat being vacated by the term limited Senate President Bill Harris (R-Ashland).
