GCP Supported Stimulus Projects
Since the inception of the discussions in Washington, the GCP has been actively engaged in this process. Working with our partner, Build Up Greater Cleveland (BUG-C), a group of 22 infrastructure projects has been identified as regional priorities. These projects reflect the consensus of our public sector partners. Among these priorities are projects that are transformative in scope and will create jobs and boost our economy.
In addition to the BUG-C projects, the GCP is endorsing one additional stimulus project - a NASA runway at Plum Brook Station in Sandusky, Ohio. This $80 million project will immediately boost our regional economy and further secure NASA's role in the nation's space exploration program. Learn more about the runway. Support for this project is regional; the County Commissioners from Cuyahoga County and Erie County recently submitted a letter of support to Governor Strickland and all Members of the Ohio Congressional delegation.
