Show Me the Money
Funding for qualified projects has been directed to states -- referred to as "formula money" -- but much of it will be awarded by the federal government through a competitive process. The Act also contains a number of tax provisions.
The following "roadmap" outlines the various categories of funding available through the stimulus package.
-
Funding available directly from the federal government through competitive grants is in
Section I and is organized by Department.
-
Funding available through the State of Ohio is included in
Section II and is organized by Department or general category. To submit a project for consideration by the State, applicants must file through the state's stimulus website,
www.recovery.ohio.gov.
-
Funding allocated directly to Cities is included in
Section III.
-
Tax provisions are included in
Section IV, including tax credits, suspended taxation, bonds, and investment credits. Also included is information about the extension of unemployment compensation and information about several small business taxes.
