Well, 4:30 a.m. in the morning in Florida looks a lot like 4:30 in the morning in Cleveland – very dark. . .but we’re gathering in the lobby of the hotel to board the bus that will take us to the launch site. And at this moment, all systems are “go”. We’ll have to wait to see what the weather does, but things appear to be good. We just need a cloud-free morning and the Ares I-X will fly.

Yesterday was an amazing day. NASA officials from Kennedy Space Center hosted us on a behind-the-scenes tour of the Space Center. We actually got to drive out to the launch pad and see Ares I-X waiting to go. . .it’s hard to describe how huge the rocket is. We’re so fortunate to have this opportunity. We also got a chance to see Kennedy’s new high bay rocket assembly and testing facility, including their vacuum chamber. The State of Florida invested $35 million in this facility and they’re considering another $20 million – an investment in jobs and the future. Very impressive collaboration between the Center and the State.

Well, we’re off to Kennedy Space Center with fingers crossed and an eye toward the sky. Nick and I will keep you posted. Stay tuned.
