Election day is this coming Tuesday! As May 4 approaches, the Greater Cleveland Partnership and other proponents of Issue 1—which would authorize a $700 million, four-year bond issue for the Ohio Third Frontier economic development program—are continuing to talk to our friends, family and colleagues about voting “YES” on this important issue.

Passage of Issue 1 is essential to advancing Ohio’s economic progress! Between now and May 4, you can help get the message out by:

Making sure you talk to your friends, family and the people with whom you work about the merits and success of Third Frontier. It’s as simple as sending an E-postcard!
Becoming a fan of the campaign’s Facebook and Twitter accounts—and recommending them to your friends and family!
Continuing to share Ohio Third Frontier success stories. Stories told by people who have been directly impacted by the program and have seen first-hand how the Ohio Third Frontier is transforming Ohio is an important and effective way to spread the word. Simply send an e-mail to your friends and family directing them to the Issue 1 YouTube channel at http://www.youtube.com/YesonIssue1Ohio.

Although there is no organized opposition to Issue 1, which enjoys bipartisan support among state legislators, business organizations and unions, the GCP and other Issue 1 supporters continue to support United For Jobs and Ohio’s Future and spread the word about the statewide success of the Third Frontier program. The biggest obstacle that must be overcome by May 4 (although many have already voted absentee or through early voting) is that the Third Frontier brand still has relatively low visibility statewide among voters—although no official polling numbers exist to date.
