There continues to be a lot happening on the NASA front. The top item – this hour’s Ohio Delegation meeting with Administrator Bolden to discuss the agency’s “ongoing presence in the state of Ohio” and “Ohio’s future in America’s space program.” The meeting is a result of Delegation letter that was signed by all 20 members in early December. The Greater Cleveland Partnership worked with several members of the delegation to make sure all members were aware of the letter’s circulation and to encourage them to sign on. We also engaged our network of other Ohio aerospace partners to reach out to their members and encourage signing on.
In other NASA news, planning for the Citizens for Space Exploration meetings next week are going well. We’ve got folks coming in from Houston, Huntsville, Cocoa Beach, Washington DC, and couple points in-between. We are excited to be hosting so many for the Southern states considering its winter in Cleveland. We’re pretty close to capacity for the Thursday evening reception and dinner with Dr. Woodrow Whitlow. This event would not be possible without the generous support of Lockheed Martin, who just came on board as our Platinum sponsor, as well as Gold sponsor ZIN Technologies; Silver sponsors Alphaport, Inc., Paragon Tec, Great Lakes Science Center, Sierra Lobo; and Bronze sponsors ClevelandPlus and the Gilcrest Group, Inc.
