With the NASA Shuttle program coming to an end, watching this video of the Endeavor launch (May 16 at 8:56 a.m.) is even more moving than usual. It certainly brought back memories of the launch I had the honor to see in person, which also was the Endeavor.
But knowing that there is just one more makes this bittersweet. Whether or not you support the President’s recommendation to end the shuttle program, we all should take in these final launches and store them in our memory.
Launches usually take place on clear, blue-sky days, but not this time. I thought the clouds would detract from the majesty, but they did not. Take a moment to watch this amazing clip.
Only one more launch to go.
