Global Economic Forum Series "Financial Crisis: How Can We End It? presented by the Cleveland Council on World Affairs and The University of Akron College of Business Administration

Greater Cleveland Partnership Investor-level members are invited to the second program in the three-part Global Economic Forum series featuring a presentation on "Financial Crisis: How Can We End It?" by John Williamson, a senior fellow with the Peterson Institute for International Economics. The forum will be held Friday, AprilĀ 24 at the Sheraton Hotel, 5300 Rockside Road in Independence. Breakfast is at 7:30 a.m. followed by the program from 8 to 9:30 a.m.
Williamson has been associated with the Institute since 1981. He was project director for the U.N. High-Level Panel on Financing for Development (the Zedillo Report) in 2001; on leave as chief economist for South Asia at the World Bank during 1996-99; economics professor at several universities, adviser to the International Monetary Fund (1972-74); and economic consultant to the UK Treasury (1968-70). He is author, co-author, editor, or co-editor of numerous studies on international monetary and development issues.
The Peterson Institute for International Economics is the only major research institution in the U. S. devoted to international economic issues and is one of the very few economics think tanks widely regarded as nonpartisan by the press and neutral by the U.S. Congress.
