Developing a Wind Energy Industry in Ohio
NorTech Energy Enerprise Speaker Series
On Tuesday, July 20, NorTech's Energy Enterprise Speaker Series will present a forum on "Developing a Wind Energy Industry in Northern Ohio." Lake Erie Energy Development Corporation (LEEDCo), based in Cleveland, Ohio, is a regional nonprofit economic development corporation, committed to creating an offshore wind energy industry in Northern Ohio. LEEDCo is currently leading efforts to build, install, and deploy a 20-megawatt offshore wind farm in the Ohio waters of Lake Erie. In its initial stages of development, this project is a significant step towards making Northern Ohio a major economic engine by capitalizing on the region’s skilled workforce and expertise in advanced manufacturing.
Please join us at this free event and meet experts from LEEDCo, GE, and other partners to learn about the project. The forum is presented in partnership with NorTech Energy Enterprise, LEEDCo, and Cuyahoga County Great Lakes Energy Development Task Force.
