Morning Conversation: Ohio Senate President Tom Niehaus

Greater Cleveland Partnership/COSE members are invited to our next Morning Conversation program featuring Ohio Senate President Thomas E. Niehaus, who has represented the 14th Senate District of Ohio, including Adams, Brown, Clermont, Scioto and a portion of Lawrence County since 2005. In January 2011, his colleagues unanimously elected him to serve as president of the Ohio Senate for the 129th General Assembly.

A fiscal conservative, Niehaus has been named a “Watchdog of the Treasury” three times and has worked to keep taxes low and to make government more efficient. He has demonstrated his wide legislative range through his leadership on improving the delivery of human services and strengthening consumer protection laws. When not in Columbus, he remains extremely active in his local community. He is proud to have founded the Clermont County Philharmonic Orchestra and the Clermont County Excellence in Education Committee.

Niehaus is a graduate of Xavier University, where he earned his MBA, and The Ohio State University, where he earned his Bachelor’s in Journalism.
