Event Info
Ohio Aerospace Day
Ohio Aerospace Day activities highlight our state’s robust aerospace industry, which includes basic aerospace science and technology, focused research, development, testing and evaluation, acquisition, systems and supply chain manufacturing, depot and intermediate level logistics, major headquarters management, operations, intelligence, and command and control.
As the community advocate for NASA Glenn Research Center, the Greater Cleveland Partnership is supporting the 2011 effort, which is being chaired by the Ohio Aerospace Institute and includes NASA Glenn Research Center, the Air Force Research Laboratory, the Dayton Development Coalition, TechSolve and others.
Together we are building on existing synergies as we strive to increase awareness of Ohio’s aerospace capabilities, assets, and facilities and optimize economic development opportunities among the state’s commercial and industrial base.
Goals:
- Increase awareness among the Ohio public and within our state government of: (1) the importance of aerospace and business aviation to the economy of Ohio; and (2) the need to protect and grow jobs in the aerospace industry in Ohio.
- Provide the Ohio legislature and executive branch with a set of key asks that will: (1) address identified industry challenges; (2) protect key aerospace assets that Ohio enjoys today; and (3) position Ohio for growth in the aerospace industry.
