International Manufacturing Conference and EXPO

More than 3,000 visitors are expected to attend the inaugural International Manufacturing Conference and EXPO, “Putting a Face on Manufacturing,” February 14-15, 2012, at The Galleria, in downtown Cleveland. The event will include more than 170 exhibitors representing all areas of the manufacturing industry.

The EXPO is designed to encourage interaction and one-on-one networking with design engineers, job shop owners and managers and others in the manufacturing industry. The goal is to rediscover the power of manufacturing in North America, particularly the United States and Canada, while creating opportunities for relationship-building throughout the industry. The conference will feature the expert knowledge of eight highly respected speakers:

  • Grady Cope, chairman, National Tooling and Machining Association
  • Steve Erickson, vice president, strategic marketing, Parker Hannifin Corp.
  • John Kastelic, president, Cleveland Intellectual Property Law Association and vice president, chief intellectual property counsel, Eaton Corp.
  • Roger Kilmer, director, Manufacturing Extension Partnership, National Institute of Standards & Technology
  • Ramon Lugo III, director, NASA Glenn Research Center
  • Don Majcher, vice president, technology and innovation partnerships, Ohio Aerospace Institute
  • Birgit Matthiesen, special advisor to the president and CEO, Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters
  • Jack Schron, president, Jergens

Both floors of the Galleria will feature Tier 1 and 2 suppliers and other suppliers to OEMs. The manufacturing exhibitors will feature custom components, sub-assemblies and assemblies.

The "What’s New Gallery," themed DESIGN-PROTECT-PACKAGE-SHIP, will feature next-and-new inventors, new materials, new technologies, tested new technologies from NASA, education about The America Invents Act, logistics, IT, and other solution providers for the supply chain.
