Morning Conversation: State Rep. Mike Dovilla
- Greater Cleveland Partnership, 1240 Huron Road East, Cleveland, OH 44115
Greater Cleveland Partnership members are invited to join us for our first Morning Conversation program of 2015 with Representative Mike Dovilla, the newly elected majority whip for the Ohio House of Representatives. The Northeast Ohio native, who was first elected in 2010, has achieved a number of legislative accomplishments, including measures encouraging economic development, strengthening education, and improving government transparency and accountability.
Prior to becoming majority whip, Representative Dovilla was the chair of the Policy and Legislative Oversight Committee and served on the Finance and Appropriations and Military and Veteran Affairs committees.
He played a lead role in the passage of HB 259 that will provide key investments for Ohio-based tier 2 companies seeking assistance with growth strategies, and HB 488 (Veterans/Higher Education MBR) that expands options available to Ohio’s veterans who seek college degrees or occupational licenses and creates a uniform process for awarding college credits to veterans for military training.
A U.S. Navy veteran and small business owner, Representative Dovilla resides in Berea.
