Northeast Ohio Manufacturing Job Training Grant Forum

The Greater Cleveland Partnership and Citizens Commercial Banking are offering a Job Training Grant Forum for middle-market industrial companies in Northeast Ohio.

Participants will have the opportunity to apply for matching grants for incumbent workforce training. You'll also learn about other available resources for workforce recruitment and acquire a better understanding of the incumbent workforce training needs of industrial companies in Northeast Ohio. 

The information gained from the event will be used to influence policy makers at the local, county and state levels to create training programs that will help make our region’s industrial companies more competitive.

The forum includes a keynote presentation, as well as a panel discussion, "Future of Manufacturing in Northeast Ohio and Manufacturing Workforce Needs & Challenges," which will be moderated by Greater Cleveland Partnership Board Member Joseph DiRocco of Citizens Commercial Banking.

About the grant program

The GCP and Citizens Commercial Banking are offering a Job Training Grant Program to middle-market industrial companies in Northeast Ohio. The program will provide up to $5,000 matching grants to selected companies for incumbent workforce training focused on building industrial competitiveness and efficiency. Interested companies are required to attend the March 18th forum and complete an application indicating their intended job training expenditures.

Gardner A. Carrick

The Manufacturing Institute 

Gardner Carrick leads the Manufacturing Institute’s research activities, including partnerships with internationally recognized consulting firms and the production of a regular series of reports on the issues and challenges affecting the U.S. manufacturing sector.

Prior to joining the Institute, he worked at the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration.
