Racial Equity Institute Groundwater Presentation
- The Greater Cleveland Partnership Offices - 1240 Huron Road, Cleveland OH 44115
Join leaders in Northeast Ohio who are learning the facts about equity.
Did you know that the population of Cleveland’s MSA is 70% white and 30% people of color?
And, that the median household income for our region is approximately:
- $53,000 for White
- $38,000 for Hispanic
- $25,000 for Black
Did you also know that closing the racial earnings gap by 2030 nationally would:
- Increase GDP by 16% ($5 trillion)
- Increase Federal Tax Revenue by $1 trillion
- Increase Corporate Profits by $450 billion
To learn more about these disparities impacting our region, join your GCP colleagues at the Commission on Economic Inclusion’s annual Leadership Forum.
The Groundwater training is an introduction to racial equity using stories and data to present a perspective that racism is fundamentally structural in nature. The presentation will introduce you to an analysis that you will find helpful and relevant; particularly as GCP continues its efforts to grow our region. This training is part of a multi-year, community-wide awareness building campaign – led by Cleveland Neighborhood Progress – to increase our region’s shared understanding of the tie between racial equity and economic development.
