Morning Conversation: Congresswoman Marcia Fudge

Greater Cleveland Partnership members are invited to a Morning Conversation with U.S. Representative Marcia L. Fudge, who has served the 11th Congressional District of Ohio since 2008.
Congresswoman Fudge partners with the Ohio delegation to champion key issues of importance to the region’s business community, including protecting the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative, supporting the New Market Tax Credit program; and advocating for the NASA Glenn Research Center.
Representative Fudge serves on the House Committee on Agriculture and the Committee on Education and Workforce. She is the Ranking Member on the Agriculture Subcommittee on Conservation and Forestry. She is also the past chair of the Congressional Black Caucus and served as the permanent chair of the 2016 Democratic National Convention.
Representative Fudge has been in public service for two decades, beginning with the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office. She was the first African American and the first female mayor of Warrensville Heights where she led the city in shoring up a sagging retail base and providing new residential construction.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in business from The Ohio State University and law degree from the Cleveland State University Cleveland-Marshall School of Law. She is a past national president of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and a member of the Greater Cleveland Alumnae Chapter.
