Morning Conversation: U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown
Greater Cleveland Partnership members are invited to a Morning Conversation with U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown.
He has served in the U.S. Senate for 10 years and is currently the Ranking Member of the Senate Banking Committee responsible for legislating on issues concerning, but not limited to, banking, financial markets, housing, mass transit, and economic policy.
He is also a member of the powerful Senate Finance Committee, which has broad jurisdiction to address many issues including: taxation, revenue, debt, trade, health (Medicare/Medicaid/Social Security), Social Security, and an assortment of other areas.
The Senator remains very engaged on issues of importance to Ohio such as trade and manufacturing policy. The GCP has worked closely with the Senator on initiatives concerning NASA Glenn, New Markets Tax Credits, and Great Lakes issues.
Prior to his service in the U.S. Senate, Brown served as a U.S. Representative, Ohio Secretary of State and as a member of the Ohio General Assembly. He lives in the City of Cleveland.
