Cleveland Cuyahoga County Port Authority

The Cleveland-Cuyahoga County Port Authority is a governmental agency created in 1968 to manage maritime operations at the Port of Cleveland. Its maritime activities support 11,000 jobs that generate $572 million in personal incomes.
The GCP is working with the Port Authority to accelerate funding for federal port/maritime investment and for the Port’s relocation to East 55th Street, just east of downtown. The GCP also is supporting the Port Authority’s efforts to develop a containerized shipping capability and advocate for federal commitments to keep the St. Lawrence Seaway open year round.
