Cleveland - The Fund for Our Economic Future today announced a grant of $1.5 million to support NorTech's operations through the end of 2009. Joe Roman, president and CEO of the Greater Cleveland Partnership (GCP), which is also a major supporter of NorTech, said the Fund's decision will help the region continue to move forward with its technology-based economic development agenda.
"NorTech's role is critical to the Cleveland Plus region's ability to build and sustain an economy driven by technology, innovation and entrepreneurship," said Roman. "We're pleased that the Fund will continue its support."
Created in 1999 as an outgrowth of the Technology Leadership Council at Cleveland Tomorrow, NorTech now is one of the GCP's key strategic partner organizations that are working to build a high-impact, sustainable economic development system in Northeast Ohio.
