Greater Cleveland Partnership welcomes the Great Lakes Manufacturing Council

Cleveland, July 9, 2008 - The Greater Cleveland Partnership (GCP) is pleased the Great Lakes Manufacturing Council chose Cleveland to host its annual forum--Collaboration: The Great Lakes Manufacturing Advantage--from July 9 to 11.  This Forum will bring together more than 300 people who are interested in the preservation and revitalization of manufacturing in the Great Lakes region. 

The GCP, the voice for business in Northeast Ohio, has more than 2,000 manufacturing members.  Working with its partner, MAGNET (Manufacturing Advocacy and Growth Network) , the GCP strives to strengthen manufacturing in Northeast Ohio.  "MAGNET's mission to help manufacturing and technology-based companies and entrepreneurs excel and grow is a vital part to our region's economic growth," said Joe Roman, president and chief executive of the GCP.  "The GCP fights for competitive industry growth in Northeast Ohio to create more jobs and increase our image as a global player." 

The Great Lakes Manufacturing Council (GLMC) is a membership organization that advocates for a regional competitive advantage for the Great Lakes Region.  The GLMC aims to develop, implement and advance the use of best practices through the region that will increase the competitive advantages of manufacturing in the Great Lakes Region.
