GCP congratulates its Investor-level members honored with Weatherhead 100 Awards

Cleveland, Ohio—The Greater Cleveland Partnership (GCP) congratulates 15 of its Investor-level member companies that were honored among Northeast Ohio’s the fastest-growing businesses at the 2009 Weatherhead 100 awards dinner. Winners were announced Dec. 3 by the Council of Smaller Enterprises (COSE), the GCP’s small business partner, and the Weatherhead School of Management of Case Western Reserve University at a black-tie dinner held at Executive Caterers at Landerhaven. About 800 people attended the event.
The honorees include these four GCP-member companies recognized as Centurions, which are businesses with 100 percent or more sales growth from 2004-2008 and net sales of $100 million or more in 2008:

- Fairmount Minerals
- Hyland Software Inc.
The Weatherhead 100, which are companies with net sales of at least $100,000 in 2003 and more than $1 million in 2008, included these GCP members:

- Group Transportation Services, Inc. (GTS)
- Lazorpoint
- The Reserves Network
- Swiger Coil Systems
- Tooling University
- Therma Fab Alloy, Inc.

“The success of these companies highlights the fact that Northeast Ohio economy has several bright spots,” said Joe Roman, GCP president and CEO. “It’s part of an encouraging big picture, which shows that many businesses in Greater Cleveland are innovating, increasing their productivity and boosting overall economic competitiveness.”
Winning companies must be headquartered in Ashland, Ashtabula Cuyahoga, Erie, Geauga, Huron, Lorain, Lake, Mahoning, Medina, Portage, Richland, Summit, Stark, Trumbull or Wayne counties.
