Tax reform is a job-producing incentive for Ohio
Tuesday, June 23, 2009
Cleveland, Ohio—The State of Ohio needs all of the economic momentum it can muster, and we are happy to report that tax reform enacted by the state in 2005 is now bearing results that are good for all residents, according to a new study.
As you will learn in the newly completed analysis, these tax reforms are now bearing precious fruit across Ohio’s tenuous economic plain. The reforms make it easier for businesses to come here, to stay here, to expand and—and most important to us—to retain and create jobs when we need it most. The analysis was commissioned by a coalition of Ohio metropolitan chambers of commerce and the Ohio Chamber of Commerce.
"As the nation wrestles with a tough economy, it is satisfying to see that Ohio made a very wise move five years ago when the decision was made to update and reform our business tax code,” said Carol Caruso, senior vice president for government advocacy at the Greater Cleveland Partnership. “This is good and smart business for every resident of the state, because healthy companies mean jobs for Ohioans.“
This analysis takes the seemingly complex issue of tax reform in Ohio and reports about it in a very easy –to- read manner. Media with questions can call Ms. Caruso at (216) 592 2471.
