GCP members make Fortune list of 100 fastest-growing companies

Cleveland, Ohio—Two Greater Cleveland Partnership member companies are on Fortune’s 2012 list of America’s 100 fastest-growing companies: Cliffs Natural Resources at No. 34 and Materion at No. 59. They are the only Ohio-based companies to make the list.

Cliffs, whose corporate headquarters is in downtown Cleveland, is “a major global iron ore producer” and “a significant producer of high- and low-volatile metallurgical coal....Cliffs operates iron ore and coal mines in North America and two iron ore mining complexes in Western Australia. In addition, Cliffs has a major chromite project, in the feasibility stage of development, located in Ontario, Canada."

Materion, based in Mayfield Heights, “supplies highly engineered advanced enabling materials to leading and dynamic technology companies across the globe....Product offerings include precious and nonprecious specialty metals, precision optical filters, inorganic chemicals and powders, specialty coatings and engineered clad and plated metal systems.”
