Supporting Minority Business Development
The Greater Cleveland Partnership is fortunate to operate the Commission on Economic Inclusion (Commission), which is also the lead organization for the MBE Collaborative. Together, the Commission and the Collaborative are accelerating the growth of minority-owned businesses across Northeast Ohio.
In partnership with the Commission and member companies, the GCP has been engaged in policy efforts to build a diverse talent pipeline and create more opportunities for minority owned firms in Northeast Ohio.
The GCP was active in advocacy efforts to protect local hiring in the City of Cleveland, as well as supporting Cuyahoga County in crafting and passing inclusion legislation that will create more opportunities for small, minority, and female-owned firms to do business with the County. The Commission will serve as a key advisory member to the County on the implementation of this work.
