Why Congress should re-authorize the surface transportation bill
In our latest “Insight” video, Greater Cleveland Partnership Vice President, Government Advocacy Nick Gattozzi discusses GCP’s efforts to build support in Congress for the Surface Transportation Re-authorization Bill with Lesic and Camper Vice President Steve Luttner.
Reauthorizing the bill is critical to both the U.S. economy and transportation infrastructure.
The current bill expires in September 2014. Funding under the previous bill supported such Northeast Ohio projects as the Euclid Corridor and the new Inner Belt Bridge. One project in the pipeline that could benefit from the re-authorization is a pedestrian bridge that would connect downtown Cleveland with the lakefront.
