After running the Strategic Planning Course over the last 38 years, we have decided it is time to launch a process to assess our current offering to ensure we are offering the most valuable educational and networking experience for small business owners across the region.  Like any business, we believe it is important to continuously evolve to meet the ever changing needs of our members.  As a result, we will not host the COSE Strategic Planning Course for 2018/2019.  We think it is appropriate to take a fresh look at what we can offer our members in this arena. Thus, we will be undergoing a process to develop the 3.0 version of Strategic Planning Course.  Our work will include an assessment of similar courses and experiences available to business owners and leaders across Northeast Ohio; evaluation of the learning formats and approaches in sync with the needs and desires of business owners and entrepreneurs;  determination of the right combination of content and experiences that address today’s business needs, challenges and interests; identification of the appropriate investment of time and money by participants and other factors that will shape the recommended approach.  This will be an in-depth and comprehensive process and we want to invite you to be a part of it.

Get Involved

We plan to have this work led by a committee of COSE members (new and past course committee members) and led by an expert in small business education programs and course development.  Our first meeting will take place May 2, 2018 from 8-10 a.m. at the COSE/GCP Offices.   At this first meeting, we will review our proposed process and timeline and solicit your feedback on several aspects of a proposed design and content for this offering.    Your feedback and experiences are important to us and will help us to shape “what’s next.”

If you are interested in participating please contact Adina Magda at amagda@gcpartnership.com or (216) 592-2379.  If you can’t join us for the first meeting, but still want to provide your perspective, let us know that too.  We will add you to our distribution list for future meetings and messages on this work.  We hope you will get involved and engaged in helping us shape the “3.0” experience for small business owners in Northeast Ohio.
