The Opportunity Corridor – a $330 million boulevard currently under construction in the City of Cleveland – is designed to both enhance mobility and improve access to hundreds of developable acres throughout several east side neighborhoods. Before the road opens to traffic by 2022, however, the project’s construction will result in travel impacts not only within the project area but also in and around the downtown and midtown areas of Cleveland. Most notably, beginning on May 29, construction activities will require the closure of I-490 between I-77 and E. 55th Street for two years.
The Greater Cleveland Partnership – in collaboration with the Ohio Department of Transportation, District 12 – is hosting a series of forums for area businesses to hear directly from the Opportunity Corridor construction team about the final phase of the project, the construction impacts on daily commuting, and the mitigation strategies being implemented. Business resources will also be available from MidTown Cleveland Inc.
Please note that space is limited to the first 100 registrants. An additional session will be hosted on May 1st.
