Join fellow Greater Cleveland Partnership (GCP) members on May 7th for a half-day event featuring Racial Equity Institute’s (REI’s) Groundwater Training and an afternoon of dialogue on racial bias and its effects on businesses. REI’s Groundwater Training is an introduction to racial equity using stories and data to present a perspective that racism is fundamentally structural in nature and that, as such, not everyone is benefiting from our region’s growth and prosperity. This training is part of a multiyear community-wide awareness-building campaign—led by Cleveland Neighborhood Progress—to increase our region’s shared understanding of the ties between racial equity and economic development.

“At Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®), we have seen, firsthand, the profoundly positive effect that racial equity has on students and their families,” said Alex Johnson, president of Tri-C and sponsor of the event. “A growing number of corporate leaders also recognize its positive impact on business and economic growth. This forum provides you with the knowledge and resources to advance the conversation about racial equity in your organization and create lasting change in Northeast Ohio.”
