Please join us on Tuesday September 24, 2019 for a conversation with Mark Huber, General Manager of Amazon’s Fulfillment Center, in North Randall, Ohio. He will talk about the process of ramping up local operations from workforce hiring and training to an overview of the new facility. He will also address the successes and challenges of running a distribution center for one of the largest corporations in the world.
Mark is currently the General Manager of Amazon’s CLE2 fulfillment center in North Randall Ohio. Prior to joining Amazon in January of 2018, Mark spent six years with the metals manufacturer, Alcoa. He held positions in strategy and operations before leading an aluminum smelter and cast house in Wenatchee, Washington. Mark then moved to Ohio in 2016, joining Alcoa’s recently purchased aerospace titanium business, RTI International, where he led the integrated melt and mill facility in Niles.
Prior to his time with Alcoa, Mark held various leadership roles as a navy officer and F-18 pilot. He deployed on aircraft carriers for three combat deployments between 2005 to 2011 and has over 50 combat missions in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as more than 450 carrier arrested landings.
Mark has a bachelor of science degree in Quantitative Economics from the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. He also has an MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business.
Mark and his wife Annie live happily in Hudson, Ohio and have 5 children between the ages of 12 and 5, including 5 year-old twins, Allie and Ben. Mark enjoys the outdoors, fitness activities, and his kids’ soccer, baseball, and basketball games.
