GCP Board votes to endorse Tri-C and Cleveland school levy

The Greater Cleveland Partnership Board of Directors has voted unanimously to support the Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C)  levy (Issue 6) and the Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD) levy (Issue 4), which will be on the November ballot.

The resolution, which was passed at the Board’s quarterly meeting last week, also approves a joint GCP/COSE contribution of $25,000 to the CMSD levy campaign and providing staff support to assist with fund raising and shaping campaign messaging.

The Tri-C levy is a renewal with a 0.9 millage increase, which translates into an additional $2.63 per month for a taxpayer with a home valued at $100,000. The CMSD capital levy, if approved, is a renewal levy with no tax increase.
