MBDA Cleveland Business Center updates brand, launches new website

The Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) Business Center Cleveland has updated its brand with a new tagline—“Ohio’s Answer for Growth, Opportunity and Access” and the launch of a new website.

“We wanted to state clearly that while we are headquartered in Cleveland at the offices of the Greater Cleveland Partnership, we serve minority-owned businesses throughout the state,” said MBDA Cleveland Executive Director Raland Hatchett.

“We also collaborate with partner organizations all over Ohio, including JumpStart, MAGNET and the Northeast Ohio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in this region as well as the Minority Business Accelerator at the Cincinnati chamber of commerce and the Minority Business Partnership at the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce.

The MBDA Cleveland office is operated by the Commission on Economic Inclusion, a program of GCP. It completed its third year of operations as of March 31, 2014, receiving a “commendable” rating for its services to minority-owned businesses throughout the State of Ohio. Its efforts generated $27 million in economic activity, including $22 million in awarded contracts and procurement and $5 million in awarded capital.

MBDA client companies are businesses owned by African Americans, Asian Americans, Hasidic Jews, Hispanic Americans, Native Americans, and Pacific Islanders. For more information about minority business assistance, contact the Cleveland office at 216.592.2253.
