With 40+ growth and expansion projects currently in the pipeline, the Greater Cleveland Partnership’s award-winning Business Development Team
is gearing up for 2016.
“The growth of our regional economy is driven by the base of companies that call Northeast Ohio home,” says Deb Janik, the GCP’s senior vice president of business and real estate development. “Our team is focused on helping them solve problems and take advantage of growth opportunities.
“Thanks to our large network of partners in the private and public sectors, we can help make the connections that the region’s companies need to plan and execute expansion projects.”
Last year, the team completed 270 on-site calls, managed and/or assisted in management of 43 retention, expansion, attraction and real estate projects resulting in over1,800 new jobs, 4,150 retained jobs and $465M capital investment.
This year’s projects in the pipeline have the potential of 2,000 new jobs, retention of 2,500 jobs with a projected $1.2B of capital investment.
Connecting companies and resources
The team has an active outreach program that involves meeting regularly with Greater Cleveland businesses to gain a better understanding of their growth opportunities and challenges. Free services
- Incentives & Access to Capital: If your company is expanding, there may be private and public financial assistance programs available at the local, county and state levels to accelerate your growth. As your entry point to the NEO economic development system, the GCP team will assist you in identifying resources, connect you with the right partners and providers and manage the process with your corporate leadership team. If your company is growing, there may be financial assistance programs available at the local, county and state levels.
- Workforce Assistance: If you are having difficulty finding qualified workers or would like to learn how to access training grants for new and current hires, we can help connect you to these resources.
- Property Search: If your company is looking for buildings and land sites for expansion, relocation, consolidation or build‐to‐suit opportunities, the team can help you find available properties and arrange facility and site tours.
