GCP Middle Market Forum

Talent remains the number one challenge for Northeast Ohio companies which is why the Greater Cleveland Partnership is committed to working with our public and private sector partners to ensure Northeast Ohio creates, attracts and retains a 21st century workforce.

Our work has been focused on bringing the voice of the business community to the table. Through research and collaboration with public and private partners, we have found that workforce sector partnerships are an innovative approach that is succeeding in helping other communities to create a strong talent pipeline– and they are beginning to gain a foothold here.  Through funding from Cuyahoga County and other public and private entities, the Workforce Connect sector partnership initiative was launched with the goal of making the workforce development ecosystem more efficient, effective, and responsive to the need for workers with the right skills in key industries.

Workforce Connect is an important building block in Cuyahoga County’s workforce development ecosystem that will complement the good work that is already occurring here and help support employers in finding the right skilled talent by creating business-led sector intermediaries in manufacturing, healthcare and information technology.

Join us for an in-depth conversation about how each of the industry sector partnerships is developing, how we are engaging the business community in leading this initiative, and how we are setting goals and tracking progress for optimal impact.
