Dr. Merlino oversees Enterprise Safety and Quality, the Office of Patient Experience and Continuous Improvement.
Brook Watts, MD, MS joined The MetroHealth System executive leadership team in January, 2018 as Vice President and Chief Quality Officer. In this capacity, she is responsible for quality, safety, and patient experience throughout The MetroHealth System. She holds academic appointments as Associate Professor in both the Department of Medicine and Quantitative Health Sciences at Case Western Reserve University and is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Clinical Informatics.
Joan Zoltanski, MD, MBA, FAAP is the Chief Experience Officer for University Hospitals Health System. UUHS has 14 wholly-owned hospital, multiple joint ventures, affiliation and investment relationships; over 250 health center and physician offices and more than 27,000 employees. Dr. Zoltanski works to improve the wellness of people of Northeast Ohio by ensuring that high quality healthcare is delivered with equity and empathy, focused on the individual needs of patients.
